The 6th GE Digital Users Conference
The 6th edition of the GE Digital Users Conference took place on 4-5th October. The motto of this year’s conference was “Select the course for Industry 4.0”.
Annual meeting of GE software users this time was held in a beautiful city of Gdansk.
Patrons of the event were AutomatykaB2B, Automatyka Podzespoły Aplikacje, AutomatykaOnline.pl, Automatyka, Służby Utrzymania Ruchu, the periodical Kierunek Wod-Kan, the magazine and website of Control Engineering, the website logistyczny.com and the KAIZEN magazine.
The subject of this year’s conference covered elements of Industry 4.0. In addition to mobility and mobile alerting (Win911 and Web HMI), such topics as 3D printing (thanks to 3D Center guest participation), Predictive Maintenance (Reliability Solutions presentation), or IIoT and robotics were also presented and discussed.
Challenges and opportunities which are the result of fourth industrial revolution are one of the main objects of our company's interests. The needs of our clients and partners, and in consequence the willingness to respond to them, means that we are constantly expanding the portfolio of solutions that we can offer.

The tradition of VIX Automation conferences is also giving voice to clients, so that they could share their own successes concerning GE Digital software. This year, representatives of ZWIK Racibórz, GOŚ Kutno and Powiśle took the floor. As a result, the participants learned the stories of authentic implementations, presented from the perspective of practitioners.
As each year, conference guests were invited to take part in a reference visit, during which they could see how GE Digital software works. This time, the participants visited the Naftoport company, which deals with transhipments of crude oil and petroleum products at the Port of Gdansk. The company is one of the most important links in the supply and transit of crude oil for Polish and German refineries.
The 6th GE Digital User Conference was the largest event so far organized by VIX Automation. The subject of Industry 4.0 met with a great response among customers. As many as 70 people filled the conference room to the last place.
