GE Digital becomes part of GE Vernova
The global brand GE, valued at more than $20 billion, is changing! In November 2021, General Electric announced a plan to split its business into three new independent global entities:
- GE HealthCare
- GE Aerospace
- GE Vernova
GE Vernova comprises several General Electric entities, including: GE Renewable Energy, GE Power, GE Energy Financial Services and GE Digital, producer of Proficy industrial software.
GE Digital becomes part of GE Vernova. Thus, VIX Automation gains the status of GE Vernova Distributor (Proficy Software and Services)
Nothing changes in terms of the Proficy solutions we offer. We constantly provide modern industrial software, such as SCADA iFIX, Historian, Operations Hub, or MES Plant Applications and many others, along with accompanying services!
GE Vernova’s business will focus on energy transformation and providing solutions for decarbonization. GE Vernova has over 80,000 employees and is present in 140 countries.
GE Vernova’s name was formed by combining the words verde and verdant (VER) – symbolizing the green and blue of the Earth – and the Latin novus (NOVA) – new, meaning a new era of low-emission energy.
The attributes of the new name are also reflected in the evergreen color of the GE Vernova brand.
