Proficy Cimplicity 2022 – new HMI/SCADA form GE Digital relese!

Proficy Cimplicity – the second SCADA system from GE Digital in our offer – was released in 2022 version. What new features have GE Digital engineers served us this time?

The latest version of Proficy Cimplicity supports Python scripts, which makes it easier for automation system integrators to implement the software, but also significantly improves the analytical capabilities of data from the SCADA / HMI system (thanks to Python libraries).

The new Cimplicity supports also cloud architecture (Azure VM, AWS VM and hybrid cloud).

However, this is not the end – new in Cimplicity 2022 are also synoptic screens created in the ISA 101 standard – highly efficient and facilitating quick decisions and efficient detection of alarm states.

The software can also be implemented more efficiently thanks to new RAD (Rapid Application Development) tools, including automatic detection of the OPC UA protocol, which speeds up the creation of a database from data sources using this protocol. CIMPLICITY also introduces a class / object viewer for animations and expressions, and improves the ability to create Smart Objects, slowly eliminating the need for scripting. Classes and objects allow you to build a structured database. Creating a model (known from Proficy Historian and Configuration Hub) and working on repetitive templates has a real impact on reducing the time of software configuration.

Thanks to the HTML5 technology, Cimplicity is also fully compatible with the mobile and remote Webspace client and the Operations Hub software.

In the new version of Cimplicity, GE Digital engineers also focused on security – Global Discovery Server (a certificate created by GE Digital to bind the SCADA application and other applications operating in the OPC UA standard) reduces the threats resulting from cyber attacks thanks to general communication based on certificates. Moreover, the latest version of the Cimplicity software is based on Achilles Practices, which is based on the IEC 62443 standards (an international series of standards for cybersecurity of operational technology in automation and control systems.)
